Off the Beaten Path in Midway!

What a fun day in Midway, Ut, which is about 30min to the south of Park City.  We reserved a crater swimming adventure at the Homestead Resort. We didn't quite know what to expect, was the water Hot, How deep was it, Ect???  We arrived at the adventure check-in 15 min prior to our reservation, Signed all of the required forms, and got pointed in the right direction to get to the Crater.  Upon arriving to a heavy gated doorway, we proceeded to a long hall to the desk with the Guide.  He explained the procedure, changing rooms, and then gave us life vests.  WOW, what a great experience.  It was a steamy crater, Warm, not hot water, and it did seem small at first, but after you got in it felt a lot bigger.  There was a floating dock, with two sitting areas on each side and a bigger swimming area in the middle with some buoys, for the scuba divers.  About 10 minutes after we were enjoying the water about 6 fireman showed up to practice there scuba diving. That was a trip!  So cool.  We swam, and relaxed for the 1 hr time allotment, Dried off and changed and went on our way to the next great thing!  LUNCH at Tarahumara Mexican Restaurant!   Check out the Pics of the Crater or check it out at: http://www.homesteadresort.com/utah-resort-activities/the-crater

Tarahumara = Delicious

Need I say More..... What a great Lunch. We had the Carnitas Torta, Asada Taco's with Rice and Beans, and the kids Cheese Quesadilla, and side of Guac. I think we tried just about every salsa from the salsa bar, and Oh not to forget the Dos Equis Draft!!!! We decided to take the Tres Leches cake home, because we new that we would be stuffed... What a great meal and good Ambiance. The price was great for what we had ordered at $40.  Check it out at: http://tarahumaramidway.com/

We highly recommend this restaurant, if you want to explore the Midway Valley!!

What a great Day!

First Day of Park City Living Blog!

Hello Friends!

I decided to add a blog to my business here in Park City, UT. I'm hoping this will serve as a guide for locals as well as visitors to this beautiful town.  A little background about my self.  I was born and raised here in Park City. I have done numerous jobs in and around Park City over the years and have seen so many people come and go over the years.  I currently am the owner of Park City Concierge Services, and thought posting to this blog would help people make decisions on where to go and what fun things to do in town.  One of the big reasons I wanted to start this blog is every time I go try a new restaurant in town, I am typically 85% disappointed.  That's not to say there isn't some great restaurant's in town because there is lots of great restaurants in town. See, I love to go out to eat with my family. My family and I have lots of fun experiences in and around Park City. We are a very active family. We love to ski, mountain bike,  hike, go boating camping and having great meals together. So as you can tell we love our community and all it has to offer. We would love to share our experiences with you. These are our experiences, not everyone will agree with us but we hope this will help you try something new in Park City.  When it comes to the food around Park City you may think why would he know any better then anyone else. So here is a little about my culinary background.  I am a graduate 13 years ago from the Le Cordon Bleu in Portland, OR. I am the Former Executive Chef at Park City Mountain Resort as well as Promontory The Ranch Club. I was also the Director of Food and Beverage at a resort in Aspen, CO.  So food is my thing.  Good service, ambiance, great food, and a reasonable price for what you receive. So as I begin this, I say hello to you all. This won't be all about food, but also good things to do in and around Park City. Stay Tuned!
